Game Controller(s)

Does anybody have any experience with, or knowledge of, any game controller that works with Terraria??

It has the Menu option for controllers but it is grayed out.

I have tried using a BlueTooth keyboard but it is not recognized.

I have also tried using the SteelSeries controller, which is recognized, but the button mapping is all messed up and several important options not available.

Hey there, MetaphysicalMojo.

I'm afraid that the controller option for Terraria does not work, atleast for me. I'm on iOS, and I believe it is not supported.

Perhaps on some other devices it may work.

Darthwikia - thanks for the reply. I am not sure why they put a menu for controller when nothing seems to be supported. I too am on iOS and noticed the controller menu is present on the iPad but not available on the iPhone. I am going to take 'one more flyer' with another brand of controller, just to see if I can get the Controller Menu to recognize 'something', but I am not holding out much hope.

I think it is only supported on Android or Windows Phone maybe? I'm not too sure about it, perhaps some mention on the Terraria official site?

I have looked just about everywhere, and I can't find an "official" 505 response as to what the Controller menu on iOS is all about. Very strange. I will post the results of my next test when Amazon delivers my next guinea pig controller.

OK - Here is the "official" information regarding iOS and Android game controllers:

Game controlsTerraria for iOS and Android had PlayStation 3 controllersupport in earlier versions, but this was scrapped in a later update.12:52, 7 June 2015

Ahhhbabahaha

I don't mean to let my rage out on the Internet but I find the controller support teasing I searched for about thirty minutes on the Internet and couldn't find any forums or wikis or websites that give me the answers. I just got a controller for Terraria so if your in the position that I am in you could either keep looking, try a different controller, returned the controller or simply get a game that has controller support while you what for the next updates to come.

Guys do you know ANY controller that works 4 terraria?? I'm freaking out cuz my hands r used to PlayStation 3
