KA-CHING !!!!!
The lovely sound of a Lava Charm being discovered on my main world in a (barely) Underworld Chest. Already transformed into Lava Waders, my self BBQ days are greatly reduced. Now to find another one to stack with the waders for a huge 14 second buffer.....
I am finding this to be true now that I am a couple of weeks into the game. I am still working in wimpy newbie mode - pre hard mode - and the underworld just flames me out everytime I get close. According to 'sources' I am in need of a Lava Charm, which apparently drops from Jungle Chests (not just chests in the jungle as I am learning), Glowing Mushroom Biome chests and Underworld Chests (have lived long enough to find two). So I am now farming 'other world' jungles for this o' so rare item. If anybody has an extra......................
OK - Here is the "official" information regarding iOS and Android game controllers:
I have looked just about everywhere, and I can't find an "official" 505 response as to what the Controller menu on iOS is all about. Very strange. I will post the results of my next test when Amazon delivers my next guinea pig controller.
Darthwikia - thanks for the reply. I am not sure why they put a menu for controller when nothing seems to be supported. I too am on iOS and noticed the controller menu is present on the iPad but not available on the iPhone. I am going to take 'one more flyer' with another brand of controller, just to see if I can get the Controller Menu to recognize 'something', but I am not holding out much hope.
Does anybody have any experience with, or knowledge of, any game controller that works with Terraria??
It has the Menu option for controllers but it is grayed out.
I have tried using a BlueTooth keyboard but it is not recognized.
I have also tried using the SteelSeries controller, which is recognized, but the button mapping is all messed up and several important options not available.
What is the better way to go - a weapon with 22 melee damage & fast speed OR a weapon with 18 damage but very fast speed ?
FIXED = Not sure how or why but I tried it again and it works like a charm. No more bouncing to and from inventory hotslot to regular inventory, Maybe the June 1 update did it, or yet another restart.
Sure wish I could remember where those were.....
Wait I did.... they were in the Dungeon. Why are there Jungle Chest's 2 biomes away from my jungle. So confusing.....
Well that explains A LOT of things. Just hate being the noob. Thanks for the reply.
I think there is a bug in the mobile version iOS8 - The water bucket once in your hand will bail out the water correctly once, but then the water bucket jumps to the costmetic helm slot. I tried using two bucket, one on my head, one in inventory slot. It scoops one bucket full then jumps from the hotslot inventory to an open inventory space. If you do not have an inventory space, you lose the bucket. Has anyone used a bucket successfully with iOS8 ??
I tried "clicking" on the chest first, with the gold key in hand. Nothing.
I tried "activating" the key. Holding it and "clicking" everywhere, these chest, the key, myself. Nothing.
I searched the web for a potential bug. Nothing,
So I am making the 'assumption' that I am doing something wrong. (and yes I did another restart of the iPad).
So if somebody could describe the corret way to open a chest, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
Problem Solved. A hard reboot of my iPad changed a couple of weird game behaviors including the Suspicious Looking Apple. I now have my extremely annoying worm, and thankfully the ability to get rid of him.
I now have 3 Suspicious Looking Apples and as I understand it, it is supposed to spawn a pet worm. I have put it in my inventory, all slots, tried it above & below ground, nothing seems to work. Is this broken in the Mobile version, or am I doing something wrong?
I am just getting started with the game, and I have drilled a lot of holes looking for specific minerals, and on a whim, I created another world and found gold, which I hadn't found any of on my main, just laying on the surface. Is this a typical practice? Or do all worlds get the same amount of minerals? Thanks.
