A Hellbat is a bat-type enemy found in the Underworld. Immune to fire and lava, it can cause severe problems to a weaker player due to the numerous lava pits and its erratic movement. A shield, preferably Obsidian, should be used to prevent knockback and protect from fire blocks in event of escape.
